The Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) has scheduled to host a festival of films from Australian cinema industry.

Set to start from October 5, 2018, the forum will screen six Australian titles during a five-day program in Tehran.

The movies selected for the screening program have been produced over past few years.

The lineup includes ‘Sweet Country’, a drama by Warwick Thornton, ‘That's Not Me’, a comedy by Gregory Erdstein, as well as ‘Samson and Delilah’, an action drama by Cecil B. DeMille.

The list goes on with ‘Last Cab to Darwin’, a romance by Jeremy Sims, and ‘The Song Keepers’, a documentary by Naina Sen.

‘The Song Keepers’ covers the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir’s tour of Germany to perform German hymns in their traditional language.

‘From Music into Silence’, a documentary by Australia-based Iranian filmmaker Farshid Akhlaqi is also in the lineup.

It is about Australian musician Peter Roberts who changed his life to offer peace and calmness to people.

The program has been organized with support from the Embassy of Australia to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations between the country and Iran.

The IAF has also planned to hold an exhibition of photos and documents about the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
